Nothing's stopping you from poring through the Congressional Record or watching C-SPAN all day, but Pocket Congress enhances accessibility and searchability of information concerning the activities of your representatives and the Congress as a whole.

Key features of the app include:

• Viewing recent bills in Congress
• Finding your Representative using your zip code
• Accessing Congress members' votes on recent bills
• Reading brief descriptions about representatives and viewing voting trends
• Directly calling their office via the app
• Following bills and receiving updates on their progress

In addition, users have the ability to search through recent bills or navigate 30 years of historical data with features such as:

• Category-based search, e.g., 'healthcare' or 'environmental'
• Searching by bill name
• Advanced search options for bill number and custom filters

The legislative process stage of each bill and a Congressional Research Service-authored bill text summary are provided for all bills.

The app also allows users to share links to specific bills and congress members, enabling educational outreach or social media communication.
